We added the Player Preview to the CMS. In this preview, within their own authorisation, users can view the playlist as it will be played on the players. By clicking one of the players in the list, the preview will start playing the exact playlist, with all the slides and apps (like weather, news etc.) in the exact same order and frequency. The Player Preview can be found in the main left menu, just under the content-menu item in the Digital Signage section.

Only on playback of the video, the video-file is loaded and shown. Multipage-controlling is added for html-templates. This means that if a textfield contains more text to show, buttons appear to navigate to the next part of the text. This already existed in the old MediaMyne 3.0, but was never implemented for the new MediaMyne 4.0. However, this is only implemented for html-templates and will not be developed for old Flash templates.

A new functionality is added in the digital signage overview: archiving or deleting multi selected slides from the content-overview. By selecting the checkfield which appears on hover of a slide, all other slides can be selected ass wel, manually, or by selecting the 'select all' field in the left bottom. With the buttons in the bottom-bar, all selected slides can be moved to the archive, or deleted permanently.

A lot of work is done on the increasing of the speed of MediaMyne. We aimed to have user-interactions respond within 100 milliseconds (the golden rule for web applications) and managed to get this to less then 50 milliseconds. This consist of interaction, but also the loading speed of the slides-overview has increased, with speeds depending on the number of slides in the list.
